Hello I have rooted my device with the intentions to install the google playstore.
I have installed the playstore but it wont connect after I have logged in.
A few other problems i need help with are the controller, i find the d pad and the ouya buttons sometimes dont respond.
Last question is , are there any decent launchers around ?

Smart Launcher is free and works amazingly. Bumper buttons to switch view, U button to minimize the "lock screen", works with d-pad and sticks. : )

Welcome to the forums by the way. In the future instead of posting multiple posts try editing your previous post with your additions. When I mean switch "view" I mean that in smart launcher there are multiple "tabs" for each kind of app. Games, Internet, Media, Utilities, etc. So you switch views to change which apps your looking at sorry if I was confusing. We can't tell you where to find apps and stuff but I'm sure google will show you some stuff : D I suggest using an older version (before 2.0) as they have changed their interface and it has a focus issue when booting up.

I will tell you right now rooting is troublesome. You can break updates, break your mods (including google play) and you can lock your console (software lock won't boot etc.) but those are risks when rooting any android device.

I am not rooted on my consoles because most things can be done without it. Including installing the amazon app store (doesn't need root I like it more then GP personally) install netflix, hulu, xbmc, etc. None of it requires root.

If you install the amazon store it will update your apps you download through it like netflix, hulu, pandora, whatever you want.

Ok where can I get the amazon store app from and how do I load it on my ouya ?
