Hype is a super simple but elegant countdown timer.
Simply set the end time...

.. and start.

Countdown timer...so why the name Hype?

Is there any way to make the app run in the background and then pop up when the timer finishes?
Meh, not really making me hype. You should try to add in more features into it. My suggestions are...
- Changeable BG. BG also changes when a certain time passes.
- Custom music. Being able to change what song places when time runs out
- SFX. A sound would play when a certian time has passed. SFX could also play in the last few minutes like the 24 TV show. It progressively gets louder as it comes closer to the end.
- Some video FX that would change throughout the countdown.
- Different kinds of countdowns. Like a Hand Clock, electric clock, Blinking numbers clock, sun dail clock, custom user made clock perhaps?
Pretty much everything can transition into something else as time passes, and users are able to add their own content into it and customize everything. That would be a killer HYPE app to use.
Just imagine it starting out subtle and progressively but slowly build up as sfx, video fx, get louder and louder until the timer hits zero and BAM! smack them viewers with hype with loud ass music, flashy lights, and just a bunch of crazy stuff going on screen.
You should look into these especially when the app is called HYPE.
Signature Pending...
Unfortunately this is actually not possible without the Users modding their system settings. OUYA has it setup to ONLY run one app at a time. Also, it disables the ability for notifications while in an app. I also have no way of "Taking over" the screen from another app.
I'll look into these features for android though!
