When OUYA Everywhere was launched on the M.O.J.O. they still were working their asses off on the OUYA but added another piece of hardware that they also have to work their asses off on. With the Wikipad that would make a third piece of hardware to support and probably a little more complicated in some ways than the M.O.J.O. For an example, the touch screen would have to emulate the touchpad's controls and they would have to focus on other things specific to the Wikipad. In other words, the same amount of people spreading out more work is the cause of the delay. It is like USB support. People said it wouldn't come and some said it wasn't even possible but it is here. It was just later than hoped for. So, I'm not saying it was a limited amount of hard working software engineers but it was a limited amount of hard working software engineers.
I don't disagree that Ouya might be light on the ground in terms of tech support. That says something about Ouya's finances by the way. However, in the situation where you could get your store on another device so that people could buy games and pay you money, wouldn't you if you were short of staff, employ someone on contract to get it up and running. They would be losing more money than the contractor they needed to hire by not doing it. Something else is at play here I suspect.
