I have a theory about why OUYA Everywhere isn't on it yet. I don't think it has anything to do with Wikipad themselves. I believe that OUYA Inc. is made up of software engineers no more than what could fit in a class room. They worked their asses off supporting just the console. When OUYA Everywhere was launched on the M.O.J.O. they still were working their asses off on the OUYA but added another piece of hardware that they also have to work their asses off on. With the Wikipad that would make a third piece of hardware to support and probably a little more complicated in some ways than the M.O.J.O. For an example, the touch screen would have to emulate the touchpad's controls and they would have to focus on other things specific to the Wikipad. In other words, the same amount of people spreading out more work is the cause of the delay. It is like USB support. People said it wouldn't come and some said it wasn't even possible but it is here. It was just later than hoped for. So, I'm not saying it was a limited amount of hard working software engineers but it was a limited amount of hard working software engineers.

I don't disagree that Ouya might be light on the ground in terms of tech support. That says something about Ouya's finances by the way. However, in the situation where you could get your store on another device so that people could buy games and pay you money, wouldn't you if you were short of staff, employ someone on contract to get it up and running. They would be losing more money than the contractor they needed to hire by not doing it. Something else is at play here I suspect.

I will rephrase what you just said to show how the something at play could be the usual instead of something else:
I don't disagree that Ouya might be light on the ground in terms of tech support. That says something about Ouya's finances by the way. It is basically the same thing except that USB support was way more important than Wikipad support and USB support is still in beta after all this time. So it looks to me like the usual,"Soon, soon, SOON!" timing that OUYA has always had. It is normal to consider OUYA on time only when they are late. Besides, M.O.J.O. support was also late. So, is the downloadable OUYA Everywhere app that is suppose to work on many devices.

Anyway, if I were in their shoes, concerning OUYA Everywhere, I would only focus on the downloadable OUYA Everywhere app because it doesn't require partners even though they could still preinstall the same app and I would allow non-partners to preinstall it too. So, it would just be one app that could be downloaded by users or preinstalled by device manufacturers. The only control I would put on it is that it identifies what devices it is on and what controllers are connected so that it would only work with hardware it is compatible with. I would make the app completely free too so that the negotiations with partners would be as simple as,"Just take it if you want it! We will give you our app in exchange for your users!" I would do the same main focus on Tegra devices that they have been but to the extreme. For an example, it would even run on the Tegra 4 powered HP SlateBook PC. Basically if TegraZone is on it then the OUYA Everywhere app would run on it. Then once it is to that point I would focus on Nvidia being the main OUYA Everywhere partner. The gist of my pitch to them would be,"We basically created another TegraZone with our store because our entire library is fully compatible with your Tegra devices. So, maybe we could work out a deal where you push our app along side TegraZone to increase the gaming options for your customers? It would help you and it would help us. You think we can work something like that out?"
