    Jupiter Lander - Austin Ivansmith

    Hey Everyone,

Today my game "Jupiter Lander" went live on the OUYA store. Go give the game a try and tell me what you think.

Also, I am curious as to the performance of the game. It runs smooth on my machine, but I saw a youtube video of a previous game I made and it was super chuggy. Would love to know how it runs for everyone.

Jupiter Lander is an artistic interpretation of what it might be like to land on our solar system's largest planet. Inspired by classic thrust games of the 80's, players must navigate their lander through the harsh cyclonic clouds of Jupiter's atmosphere, dodging rocks on the way down, and land at a safe speed and angle. And the three difficulty levels should keep expert thrust masters on their toes.

Is this game scientifically accurate? No. But it's fun to imagine what it might be like to land on a planet more dangerous than Mars or our own Moon.

I was playing this game and I found it ran quite fast and fluid. Not a single hiccup, that is nice. Having a hell of a time landing without getting blown up though

Isn't there already a game with this name in the genre? I seem to recall owning on the Vic 20.

Haven't tried it yet, but it's the only modern interpretation I've seen of this sort of thing, so I've gotta at least give it high marks there.

wow. great game. really fits the "easy to learn - hard to master" formula. i'm having no problems with the performance so far.
