    ROM works with Mupen64 on 8gb Ouya.. same rom on same emulator on 16gb Ouya does not

    This is the case with many different roms i have for Mupen64.

    For example:

    I have a Super Smash Bros .zip file that works great with Mupen64 on my 8GB Ouya.

    I transferred the exact same Super Smash Bros .zip file to my 16GB Ouya, and try to run it on the exact same Mupen64 emulator from the 'Discover' store;
    but it won't work.

    I just can't think of any reason why this would be happening.. any ideas?

    yeah i'm fairly positive;

    I was just using the default settings on my original ouya; so i tried with the default settings on the 16gb ouya as well, but it wouldn't work.

    So then i messed around with a just about all the settings on the 16gb ouya after it didn't initially work, but still no cigar.

    Took it back to the default settings again after that, still wouldn't work.

    Any settings in particular that would affect its working or not?

    (I'm not the most educated person when it comes to emulators)

    Could the ROM have been corrupted when you copied it over?

    Good thought. Perhaps format the USB drive/stick and reload the ROM just to make sure that's not what's wonky?

    I've not heard of anything working differently on the different OUYA versions; other than the WiFi and controller working better on the new ones.

    Hi BrEmerican,

    Are other roms working on Mupen64? And have you tried it unzipped?

    yeah several other roms still work on the 16gb ouya, which also worked on the original ouya.

    They're all .zip files.

    Nah i haven't tried unzipping them; i thought that would've been unnecessary since the .zip files always worked as they are.

    But I guess I'll try that.

    And yeah, maybe the file was corrupted somehow.

    I'll just trial & error my way to figuring out what happened, and if i do figure it out, i'll post the solution here just for future reference.

    Thanks guys

    I just gave it a spin on my 16 gig model while still zipped and it works. Caught me off a bit at the whole no faces thing, but it otherwise seems to work fine. If that helps to narrow it down at all.
