Like the threads name says needing to be online to log into a games console is pure 100% BS. Yeah Microsoft tried it with the Xbone( later patched it out because gamers dont want that) but the diffrence is Microsoft will still be here in 10 years time..Ouya might not. A start up company doing this log in online stuff is just plain stupid.

Its a game console people want it nice and simple like a snes or an xbox.

Ps3 does both offline account and online account one is for just playing games the other is for the PSN network. The Ouya should copy this. It is the best way of doing accounts.

I am not being all doom and gloom its a great console but the trainwreck of online logging in is putting people off. Each time I mention Ouya to my buddies its like "yeah...gotta give them my credit card details...gotta be online to log in..nah I will stick with my ps3 thank you very much"

Next major update should have offline account creation. Seriously do that more people will buy one.
