I'm honestly curious as to people's opinions on this. Because there were supposed to be so many other Android devices that would "crush OUYA" and it's still here. The only significant one I'd be worried might encroach on the territory is Amazon's offering, but not defaulting with a controller shows that devices current direction.
its not a matter of beating the competition as there really isnt any if youre talking about android based game consoles. not of any real significance anyway. but ouya is a business first and foremost. theyre here to make money. beating the competition comes after you firmly have your feet on the ground and are turning a profit. and thats really what nobody knows because ouya doesnt release that information. all we have to go on is the CEO saying "more is coming" "another system is on the way" "etc, etc etc" Thats great news but it could also very well be p.r. spin. plenty of failing companies have publicly said they were doing well financially.

my hopes are that it has done well since their successful kickstarter campaign and with things like it being in target (thats where I got mine!) will help to spread the word as well. i will say however that outside of this forum things are kinda bleak when you mention the ouya. ive told gaming friends about it and how i really like it but for the most part it has fallen on deaf ears.

again though, heres hoping theyre swimming in cash and we're gonna get a new system, and the games will keep on comin
