Platdude in Battling Ostriches - Jayenkai

Continuing his quest to appear in as many shoddy remakes as he can muster, this month Platdude tries his hand at sitting on flapping birds, battling against other similar Platizens, who are also flapping about the place.

Typical Joust rules apply. Hit the button to flap, move left and right, and generally bump off all the other guys by landing gently on their heads. Simple stuff..

The game is missing a two-player mode, at the minute, after a last minute "oops" issue with the controller code. It is fixable, but I've not had time to fix it yet. If you'd like a two-player co-op/battle mode, let me know in the comments and I'll spend a few minutes trying to wrestle the code back to the way it was supposed to be.
As it stands, it's a nice simple little single-player game.
    Enjoy!

You can grab the game direct from the OUYA.TV site or from your OUYA's discovery channel.

Absolutely would dig multiplayer.... 4-player would be the shizzle.

I do feel that the spawn/respawn shields last entirely too long, both for the player and the CPU. It kills the flow of the game.

Also maybe the player should get bonus points for combo kills? Maybe extra points for hitting two or more without touching ground/in one flap or within X number of seconds?

Have to agree with Steven here. Shield time is a bit long. Completely loose your pace

Same. Don't have multiple controllers but yeah this game is made for multiplayer IMO.

Casting my vote for multiplayer and shorter shield time! Four players if possible. Hell, sixteen players as long as I'm wishing...

After playing it a bit I will have to throw my hat in the shorter shields ring. Still have my vote for multiplayer too, if it's still something you're thinking about doing.
