    The heat sinks are useful,increase the area of chipset and the heat spreading to air faster,if is present an air flow the cooling effect is more faster and the chip sets live longer.

    Of course heatsinks help to OverClock more stable and looking "cool".
    The best material is copper but aluminium is lighter,so there is a lot of space to "try and learn".

    My fan is loud, if the consle heats up after a few minutes. Don't mind it much though but can see other's minding.

    I have mine setting on a laptop cooling fan that I paid $19.00 for in Walgreens. Never had any heating problems.
