i dont believe its "devs". more like kids trying to do a game, fail or lose interest and nada in the end. but hey! devs counter +1, right julie?

I don't see how you can't consider a kid a dev as long as he/she is trying to make a game, i have seen a few kids post things on reddit but not here.

I know the majority are not putting out anything (yet) but still.....

I don't see the issue here. If you want to only look at how many made games for the system then count the games. If you want to know how many signed up as a dev then that is her number. If you want to know how many registered and are working in there homes on the game, well ask for an address list and go knocking lol. And I am pretty sure the 1000 per month is an average. 36000/number of months registration has been available.

Takes at least 1 person to dev a game, often times more than 1. Not all devs can make a game/release at the same time. Just because the numbers don't make sense doesn't mean something may/may not be happening. Numbers are numbers, no use on trying to force context into it.

On top of that, many devs don't come here anyway. Game released or not, so that also doesn't matter.

I think it's just meant to show that people are actually taking an interest to develop on the ouya.

Maybe shes trying to be president, you know, pure empty statistics can convince many people. OR maybe the 40000 developers are real and in the next months we will see an explosion of amazing new games, but seeing the quality of the latest releases in discover i doubt seriouslly that.

Could it be that they register as devs for other purpose? Such as rooting?
