    first of all, search them in the directory where you installed DOOM on your PC.

    You should find two files, DOOM.WAD (or ULTIMATE DOOM.WAD) and DOOM2.WAD inside the 2 directories.

    Now you must COPY those files in the primal root of your USB STICK (the one you normally use as external memory on OUYA).

    Then, connect the USB memory into OUYA;

    Now,
    1) turn ON your OUYA
    2) install & open the (freeware from Ouya store) program FILEpwn*(see my small help at the bottom if you don't know the program).
    3) click on "parent folder" 2 times: doing so, you'll explore the primary directory of OUYA. Then go down, search for "/usbdrive" and click it
    4) now you'll see the two files .WAD: select both them with "U" (a small "V" will apper at the left) then press "Y" and select "COPY".
    5) now press "O" on the "parent folder" directory, press the "A" button on "sdcard" directory;
    6) go down, searching for a directory named "kokak" and press "O" on it
    7) now enter in the directory "DoomGLES" with "O"
    8) now you are inside the "DoomGLES" directory. Press "OK" and the files will be copied inside DOomGLES directory.

    Starting the game, you'll see two more options at the start.
    Enjoy it!

    *infos for FILEpwn:
    O=enter directory
    U=select/unselect file/directory
    Y=menu (permit to copy/delete files)
    A=go back
    (make sure to NOT delete important files from your Ouya!!)

    Don't you have to convert the wads somehow?

    I'm new too to wads. Are there any good free (and by that I don't mean illegal) wad files that I can hunt for and install? Perhaps doom versions of Wolfenstein, Alien Breed 3D, etc? I'm not talking about the actual versions of those games (unless they work) but rather fan-modded games that have modded doom to include other stories, etc? Or just other really good wad files that we can get?

    Again, I'm not along how to get pirated content, just interesting modded and fan created games for this.

    Example.

    Could I install this mod for the game?

I reckon its worth the price but peeps should be aware of these things.
    you are saying you pay for the engine, and then you have to pay more if you want to play custom pwads?

    the wad format was designed to be a container. pwads (player wads) still require a retail doom wad to work. so if you find a fully converted and functional pwad, it has been merged with an illegal copy of doom (now an iwad). some pwads have been designed to be merged with freedoom, those will be your only free alternative. or you could just pick up doom 1 and 2 for next to nothing and start converting pwads.

    you do not need to move the wads to the main storage. the engine can load them via external. they must be in usbdrive:\Kokak\DoomGLES\

    Hey, what happens?
    I just finished the first shareware chapter, and... the game says that's the shareware version!
    WTF?

    I copied from my (full) steam versione the complete WADs, why the Ouya DoomGLES do not permit to play 2° and 3° world?
    Someone know how to solve?

    I think you have to copy opengl and mp3 files from a link here : http://kokak.free.fr/android/DoomGLES_Ouya.htm#install

    It's a great port of a classic game. my only complaint about it is how it will save to /sdcard/Kokak instead of routing to /usbdrive/Kokak. Even after stating I wanted it installed to the USB drive. It's annoying as I like to keep the /sdcard folder on my ouya clean.

    Now as for this business of downloading the MP3/GLES files an addendum to your WAD files. That seems a little bit... Lazy.. I know that is a little harsh and potential flame-bait. Please hear me out on this.

    DoomGLES 1.09 from GooglePlay would attempt to download the .zip files for you off of the devs site. Granted, it gave absolutely no progress bar as to how far it has received data files like Ur-Quan Masters did. But it least it tried to do that for the end-user provided they placed their GoG bought WAD files into the respective folder.

    The Ouya version doesn't even try. Which leaves the question of why remove something that can potentially trip-up your end-users? It can't even be a bandwidth issue because the developer is telling people to download the addendum MP3 and GLES files off of his site.

    It would also be nice if there was a 'help' section in the program itself or an textbox on the top where if it creates the /sdcard/Kokak directory for the first time that it informs the user on first-time launch where to put the WAD files. _I_ know everything is explained on his site however a lot of people are looking for just a click-and-go solution then find out they need wads and go looking in the /sdcard/android/data/ for a 'Doom' folder (at least I did the first time I got the app out of side-loading force of habit)
