Anyone tried multiplayer with this yet? I remember showing younger kids (who knew nothing of Doom at all) Skulltag.... and we used to have a blast playing that. This would be great if me and a few Ouya owners got together and ran some co-op together. Just curious how well it works.

This looks great, but man does it ever make me motion sick. Just like it did in the early nineties!

Was always my one complaint with DOOM. As fun and awesome as it was, the SPEED of which you move is just so ridiculously fast!

I have a couple questions. First, for custom maps, if they just use the base data, do I only need to load the wad file into the folder? Or do I need to run that conversion program? (Base games are up and working) Second, how, if at all, can I input cheats? Sometimes you just want to skip right to obliterating a cyber demon with a BFG.

One of the best games ever! Fact not opinion! ^_^

i checked out the demo. i'm almost ready to purchase it and give conversions a try (because it seems no one has answers so i'll have to discover them on my own). i am enjoying the updates to the engine, i love the lighting and particle effects. my only complaint is that it just seems to run too fast. you can dial it back a bit on the analog nub and move slower, but this doesn't feel natural. perhaps it was just the fact that doom used to run on old ass computers, but i recall it moving at a much slower pace. now that its ported to all types of modern devices, it just seems to run too fast.

I just tried it, works well.

The blood decal effect makes frame-rate drop, but not a dramatic thing.

the joypad works surprisingly well (usually I hate joypads control for first person shooters), and the Xbox360 wired joypad works perfectly with the game.

    Bought.

Now I'll copy the WADS from my Steam version to the OUYA version

I bought mine instantly so I only found this out from my brother. Most of Freedoom (and any other free wads you might load ) is behind a paywall. Slight issue with that as the extras like 3d monsters and blood better lighting and hi res ( basicly the app ) are what we are paying for ( no issues with that like I said I bought and is happeh with ). I reckon its worth the price but peeps should be aware of these things.

In the game description on Ouya's site they have a like to a page set up by the makers of DoomGLES that should show you want to do with your wads.
