OUYA can you force a downgrade or a reinstalation of updates?

Hello, after the last update (Chupacabra Hot fix #2) my OUYA is performing really bad:

I have really slow system startup (i have a 320 GB usb drive attached).
As usual, Google play store was gone, then re-rooted and reinstalled everything but now Google play closes instantly when i try to start it.
The ouya has downloaded the update and installed as usual, but in the upgrade notes i still see Chupacabra Hotfix #1 notes, but if i go to system update the message say that my OUYA is updated.
The images in Play, discover and Create are awfully slow to load and makes the overall user interface deadly slow and irresponsive.

    So here comes my question:

Is there a way to force a reinstallation of the last update? Maybe my update has suffered some strange error at installation time and thats why i still see the hotfix #1 update notes.

If not, Is there a way to downgrade the OUYA to a previous firmware reléase? This one is very buggy (sure many OUYA fans now will start to tell me that nothing is wrong, but for me this was a dissaster-update).

If anything previous is posible, maybe OUYA guys could start to think to implement some of this in next releases, and i will start to pray that my OUYA backs to normal behaviour.

For this you'll need a wired usb keyboard with the sysrq key, this is usually the printscreen button if your keyboard isn't labeled. As the OUYA starts to boot, frequently press the alt-sysrq and i keys (sort of like the crtl + alt + del combo). This key combination is kill-all-tasks. After several times, this then triggers an automatic reboot into recovery mode. If the console freezes, this is good. Continue with the key presses until it restarts

Unfortunately it's not always obvious when the OUYA is in recovery mode since usually it will be a black screen (other times you will see a OUYA with a red exclamation mark). If you do happen to see the black screen, try unplugging the HDMI cord to reset the input connection. Press the Home button on the keyboard to bring up the recovery menu; it's a toggle so feel free to press the home button repeatedly until you see the menu since the timing isn't otherwise obvious. You should be able to select factory reset from there.
This has been mentioned somewhere else on the forum as well too lazy to find it.
