I see what you're saying, but there really is no way to go faster on this. I can only run so fast, and the little spirit flame only moves so fast. The act of shifting takes a certain amount of time. I can get the door open, but immediately after I hit the button to shift back, she gets hit by the ghoul. It also seems weird that that ghoul just basically zooms right up to you once you get to the door. Running as fast as you can to get to the door is basically useless, because the ghoul just appears right behind you as soon as you get there. I've spent about 3 hours on this one hurdle, and 15 mins getting to that point total in the game. Super frustrated.
Hm, that's interesting. I'm sorry that's happening as I thought we had tweaked that experience. Something may have gone awry and maybe we can update it in the next patch. Are other people having difficulty there?

that experience is just fine. the timing is perfect with a second to spare. the problem lies with the controls, as you can not use any buttons while also holding the analog stick in any direction. i would bet that most issues arise from those who are still holding "right" when they click the spirit button. this was the problem i had on my first attempt, on my second i passed this obstacle without issue.

    1. the lights flicker and the evil spirit starts to chase you, hold right and run....
    2. stop at the door, let go of the analog stick, and press the spirit changing button
    3. move up and over the door, to the lever, quickly press the button to take control, flick the lever
    4. quickly press the spirit button to return to your body (don't try to float back)
    5. instantly hold right to run again

it really is that easy. =)

Additionally, when you load a Chapter II save, it is still titled as Chapter I.

is anyone in chapter II? i seem to be stuck. i got the knife and backtracked to the flower garden to cut the vines (not the one for the dog) and entered a fountain area. there was nothing to do there. so then i went to the conservatory and found nothing to do their either. the only open event i have is the women telling me she is crying over her lost love letter. i'm not sure where that letter is, can't seem to locate it. any tips from the community or devs?

I realized the part about not being able to press multiple buttons at once the last time I played, and it's quite annoying. At this point, I've tried that part over 100 times, even after compensating for the inability to press multiple buttons. If it were "just that easy" I'd have passed that point long ago. As it stands, however, I've given up and stopped playing, because it's just not worth 5 more hours of my time

Hey, you'll be happy to know I had our developer adjust this and you will be given a little extra time to get through this puzzle after the patch on June 17th.
