After watching someone play this on YouTube it put me off massively, seems a very rushed game to me.

It honestly isn't IMHO. The OUYA store testers got farther than that guy. He wasn't particularly good at it. I beat the game with all coins about a couple dozen times now while barely trying. It has a learning curve and I think he just wasn't really in to it or cared to try harder. Some games require patience but a lot of people want instant gratification from things being far too easy.

His negative description didn't help first impressions either. The character moves slow but that is intentional to make timing estimations more accurate and easier. I don't know why he likes the word wonky so much but it doesn't apply at all to this games controls - I really don't know what he meant I just think he wasn't good at it and blamed the game. I could be wrong, but after I have tested this so thoroughly I doubt it's an actual problem with my game.

If I hear otherwise from more players I'll investigate it a bit more. Okay?

I tried it for a few minutes and didn't enjoy it all that much.



The graphics aren't impressive - they've got that 1995 attempt at CGI look, and the animation's not pleasant to look at. The controls are spotty, jumping distance is tough to figure out with the weird momentum, and you can't always tell what's in your path due to the obstructed view of the character. Using the A button to jump feels odd too with X/Square on a PS pad or A and X becoming the norm for action-platforming controls. It's a fine game to get a little development experience on - I'm glad it's free for that reason, but it's not a good game.

About the graphics, I've heard the polar opposite from a good amount of people online and in person. I respect your opinion but don't agree with it. Likewise for everything else you've said. Jeremy was so bad at the gameplay it made it look much worse than it really is if you know what your doing. I would ask you remove that embedded video as it's embarrassing, I would record my own gameplay if I knew how, then it would look much better, honestly.

Lolol. He didn't even say anything about the game in the video just showed himself trying to play it. I don't understand why you would want him to remove it.

Just sayin lol. I found the jumping and hit boxes to be weird in this game as well; the graphics aren't a huge deal to me; but this looks like a computer game from dos lol. Or maybe the jaguar? The first scene with your logo is jittery and the scene with the water hurts my eyes but the rest of it seemed good to me. Also this is a really interesting premise; it seems almost exactly like real men wear pink.

Okay. I just added a video that flawlessly demonstrates how amazingly easy the gameplay is, that is, to anyone who is willing to adjust to the intentionally unique art style and gameplay mechanics. Look at very basic mspaint games and try to tell me this game has terrible graphics and I will not take you seriously. It's preference, not quality.

Edit: Beware, the video gives away everything, so don't watch more than the first 2 min if you haven't played it before. This video will be added to the OUYA store page within the next update.
