I got it, it plays videos nice. The interface feels a little clumsy versus the google TV youtube App however it is a little more secure then the Google TV side-load youtube app as that requires constant login to Google with your real account. Where up and down arrows just change channel type. Channels and trends are sort of smashed all together. Also wish I could set the timer for when the next video plays as I setup play lists and when you do playlists they just jump from video to video. the 10 second wait is a little jarring.

Would also be nice to have an option to scale videos up and down by default like in XBMC-Youtube-Plugin so that if your on a slow connection you're not always trying to fire the highest stream. Perhaps it is there and didn't see it.

I tried super old youtube vids and the high def ones all worked. Thank you.

Everything works nicely except for the occasional slowmotion video and the fact that most videos get moderate to extreme delay in audio. So... I can't use this as a YouTube-app quite yet. But that's okay, I have the sideloaded app still installed and will be using that until the playback issues are sorted.

Dear lord, YES! Finally. At first I used the XBMC YouTube Plug-In, but there I couldn't log-in anymore since a couple of months. Finally I can watch my subscribtions on the TV again, yes yes yes. A very big thank you (to whoever?!)!

Yet, here are some thoughts I have:
    - The interface is quite a bit clumsy (and slow, too).
    - "My subscriptions" should be the first, second or third entry in the list of stuff. Why is it so far down there?
    - Can I control the volume somehow?
    - Can I skip forward / backward in Videos? How?

L2-R2 or up on d-pad and then you have the standard player controls (play, pause, fw, bw...)

The only part of interface I don't like is that you can't easily back out of overlay menus because A takes you out of the video.
There is a "go back" button in the bottom right but you need to use a touchpad to click on it.

There is also hitting the menu button and then selecting back.

Well I still prefer my sideloaded YouTube app.

While the Discover version looks nice it offers a bad performance (stutter, audio delay).
The search function is also kinda crappy, why not just implement the virtual keyboard?

    This!

The virtual keyboard in OUYA is currently my favorite way of typing text in any console and the absolute worst experience is to type in text in the YouTube-app on PS3. This seems to be more or less a complete copy of it, which... Yeah, I've already said what I think of that "keyboard".

Bumped into this by luck, it's really nice and works well! the layout is very much like some of the latest youtube players on tv and on xbox one and works just as well.

Saying that I just had the ouya lock up while playing a video after around 5 minutes, wifi connection and in the same room as my router.

More playing around with youtube on ouya, it seems that if I want to watch anything longer then about 10 minutes the app will freeze and crash if I try to back out to another video or do anything to resume the feed. I have plenty of space on the ouya and on a usb, only fault I can think of is the wifi dropping but as I said above i'm in the same room as my router so the connection is fine.
