Netflix on Ouya

Hey all. So I use the netflix app pretty frequently on my ouya. It a solid app and the video quality is great but I do have some trouble navigating. Especially so with the touchpad so I was just wondering how else uses netflix pretty regularly on thier ouya that might be able to help answer a few questions.

First and foremost, when you click on a show and get that shows splash screen wtih a large image, short description, and episode listings on the right, how do you keep navigating beyond what is shown on screen? Generally theres 5-10 episodes shown but when I try and scroll down beyond whats visible my cursor switches off of the list and goes to either the add show to your listen button on the left or up to the search function on the top right. Ive tried scrolling with the d pad, control sticks, touchpad, etc and cant figure it out. Is this just a shortcoming of using the mobile app on an ouya or am I doing something wrong here?

The other frequent problem I have is the "recently watched" section of the app not updating properly. Often times I have to exit the app completely and reload it to get the episode list to update properly.

And finally It would be nice if the netflix UI wasn't stretched beyond my tv. I'm using a 32" Sony LCD and the netflix logo and search eyeglass icon are both cut off on my screen.





Like I said, I enjoy using it and love having it available to side load but it sure would be nice if we got an official app...

I use the amazon version it updates semi regularly. I havnt had to exit to force a refresh in a bit. Unfortunately this is a shortcoming of netflix being sideloaded you have to double tap and drag to view more episodes. Its a pain.

Amazon app store version not amazon fire.

Just uninstalled and reinstalled. my netflix and its still working.

You guys do know the 3.0.1 version did not have that bug yea?

I use the 3.0.1 version. It works well but I haven't figured out how scroll down to view all of the categories (left drop down menu).

I would like to have an official netflix app for OUYA just for HD. Right now any sideloaded version I tried doesn't do HD. We either need Android 4.3 minium or that netflix create a official Apps for ouya.
Netflix less than 720P no thx.

Netflix posted a new version, 3.6.0, anyone care to test it? [ Link ]

Tested 3.6.3 build and it seems to be even worse than previous for controller support. It is fully functional but requires using the touchpad.

Edit: Tried 3.6.0 with same results.
