Where can I buy a matte black 16gb Ouya?

Hi. I've looked EVERYWHERE to try to buy the newer matte black 16gb Ouya, including Amazon, Best Buy, Target, even Ouya's home page (which says this is SOLD OUT). I really want to buy an Ouya but don't want to buy the first model. I want to buy the 16gb version ASAP, but I can't find it anywhere for purchase. I also seem to be unable to get anyone to even respond to this matter. Are they just backed up in delivering new units? Did they already discontinue the new 16gb model? Anyone have any answers? I want to buy one of these newer ones, but WHERE?

Is this "official" from Ouya, their new model is just "unavailable" until further notice? I would buy a new 16gb today if I could. What's the real story behind this? Are they trying to unload the old model? Is there anyone higher up at any official Ouya web or email addy I could bring this up to? I find the whole thing to be really, really weird.

Doesn't it say sold out on the website? I haven't looked so not sure but it's sold out until summer. That's what has been said.

You just missed one on Reddit for $90, another moderator actually got it. You have to search if you want one now. You're not alone, I want it too.

OUYA stated they plan to get some more by summer at the latest. Nothing is getting phased out, the 16gb isn't a new model either, just a revision. Check back at Ouya's shop every so often, it may come back in stock. Also try ebay and craigslist.. Amazon might have something as well.

To be honest the game pad is exactly the same as my standard model one but with concave thumbsticks. Of course I never had problems with my original game pads like some have or else I sent them in for replacement and got working ones back. The 16GB really doesn't matter cause I plug in a 32GB USB stick and doubt I will ever fill it. In fact both my 8 and 16Gb models have USB sticks so internal mem doesn't really matter at this point and isn't used. I actually got used to the normal thumbsticks so hardly use the black controller. There is the one and only one reason I got a black one, cause its Black! lol. But for full retail price I would go with the standard model personally. and yes I am the guy that got the one sold on reddit

*Edit* Another difference was I had to yell at the 16Gb one to get xbmc to connect to my shared folder! But worked fine since lol

Hey guys, thanks a lot for the info. I may just get the first gen. I'm an old retro guy who's always been hopelessly in love with the D pad anyway, and want to use the gizmo for emu without the pc hookup crap. I'm actually having some heavy medical procedures done soon and wanted to have this plaything while recovering, so I might just get the older model. Thanks again for the info and feedback.

Yeah I will admit that if there is a little bit of a difference I probably just didn't notice since I only used it for a couple hours but the feeling of the thumbsticks made me go back to my originals. So yeah I would be willing to bet your right. I should put thumbsticks from my original on the black one and try it lol. But yeah... before USB expansion I would have said go for the 16Gb... but now nah.
