Funny that you mentioned Dream Tale. I was going to review that game after I reviewed something else.

Team2Bit Bundle is live. Get Fist Puncher and Reagan Gorbachev for $9.99 where normally both games cost $9.99 each. 2 for 1 baby!

Starting Friday and going through Sunday, Reaper will be 50% off. The 50% applies to all unlock packages in the game, not just the basic version of the game. Eat up!

Possible for So Many Me, it had a decent sale at launch and another one a few months back.

Reaper is on a flash sale this weekend only for half off. Cool I guess, but meanwhile, Sony has a flash sale this weekend with about three or four dozen games on flash sale for 96 cents each, and these titles are all good ones.

Ouya needs to have flash sales like PSN does. Or at least offer more than just one game on sale at a time. There are plenty of Ouya games I would buy if they had sales. Seems very strange that Reaper alone is considered a flash sale.

I wish this thread was never started actually because of certain comments that I continue to see. Developers have the right to have their games on sale or not. It's not like these games are expensive or anything, maybe some don't have as much discretionary funds as others and that's fine but by saying "Hey put your game on sale", do you realize what that does to the developer on the receiving end of that? Can I go to your job and say "Hey take less money this week" and you'll just do it?

If OUYA just started arbitrarily dropped prices on developers, do you think they would want to put their games on OUYA? If it's on Playstation then you're probably making a good deal of cash because even bad games have a bigger audience to draw from so they would make more of an income. It's fine to say "Hey I want this game to be on sale" but let's be realistic and realize there are people on the other end of the equation, not big companies.

There's 2 sides to every coin.

There are a lot of reasons why this isn't the case, but I'm only going to name a few. Comparing the PSN library and OUYA library is like comparing a skyscraper to a Denny's. Also, OUYA Incorporate doesn't decide what goes on sale and what doesn't as it's up the respective developers. With that said, a smaller library naturally means a smaller amount of sales. Furthermore, a flash sale is something that is reduced in price for a limited amount of time, and doesn't automatically mean a 24-hour period.

I created this thread out of the intention that the community (including myself) would form a consensus on what games they'd like to have on sale in hopes that OUYA Incorporate along with the respective developers would take note. A desire for a sale is purely selfish, but it doesn't automatically equate to a loss of money. We've heard stories about how a sale more than quadrupled a developer's game in total sales because it was something that everybody was hesitant on, and was buried in Discover thanks to the effect's of time itself. That developer was surprised that he had such a successful sale and earned a lot of revenue during that time period. He also learned that he should go about distributing his game's differently from then on.

I wish I could remember the developer's name, but I can't. In any case, yes, the facts of the matter are a selfish desire to get as much as you can for as little as possible. Everybody is like this with everything. However, no one has to take a loss if what's on sale is what's wanted from the community, is of good quality, and several other factors. Chris of The Adventure's of Chris had a successful sale & so did Philip Royer of Super Pixalo.

Oh, I wasn't aware of that. Then my first suggestion is Ouya Inc change that. They should have the power to put games on sale at their own discretion. Under the current policy, certain devs could simply decide to never put any of their games on sale period, which ultimately is self defeating as it doesn't attract people on the fence at full price. I'm not a cheapskate. If there's a game with a demo I really beleive in, I'll buy it regardless of the asking price. But if the demo leaves me iffy, then the price really matters. A lot. It's these games that need sales and Ouya as a corporation needs to realize that sacrificing some profit is better than making none at all.

Even disregarding the free or free with in app purchase games, Ouya has at least 600+ paid games at this point. That doesn't exactly strike me as a small library. And I'm not trying to suggest that everything needs to put on sale. But older games? Games that have low purchase rates due to the pricing? These are games that should be on sale.

Well yeah. I don't know where you're going with that though. PSN's flash sales are for 3 days, but you could do one for 24 hours I suppose. I'm not trying to suggest sale prices become the new normal price. Most sales should be timed promotions.

No. Oh hell no. That takes away much control of and the rights to the game/app from the developer and that is not okay in any form.

I agree 100%, but it should still be up to the developer of the game.

That's a neat assertion. I am a cheapskate myself, but my purchase history would say otherwise. All of your posts, and their general tone, illustrate that your quoted statement is false.

I find this odd cause I am most definitely a cheapskate even though I've spent over 200 bucks on Ouya games. I don't think this is the place to start a debate. Riot was just looking to get some people's feedback on what they wanted on sale. Also I disagree that Ouya should have all the power. If you are a dev and don't wanna do a sale that is your decision. I /still/ might not by your game even if it is on sale but that doesn't mean someone else won't because they were already on the fence.

Super Pixalo was a good game and Magnetic by Nature is okay.
