    RetroRemakes talks OUYA.

RetroRemakes, the long running and incredibly popular source for retro styles games and remakes of games-gone-by (as well as Doctor Who and internet funnies etc.) has front paged the OUYA, giving some space to several games that fall into it's supported categories.

Head HERE for more info and OUYA coverage.

Out of all the games listed in there, I have played none of them. It looks like he picked some of the most obscure, retro of the retro games that are on Discover to talk about. Either that, or I need to hang out more in the Current OUYA Games & Apps forum.

I don't understand the context of these. It seems like there's some sort of joke I'm not getting with the descriptions.

    Of those mentioned, I've played:

Blockman Gets Hungry is easily one of my favorite games on the OUYA so I'm glad that got highlighted. NeonPlat Extreme is my favorite of Jayenkai's releases on the system, though.
I've got Boulderdash: The Full Collection and have a lot of fun with it.
Donkey Me is a great showcase of pixel art and movie references, but it's hard as balls, almost to the point where I think it's broken in some parts.

I really am amiss that they chose to highlight Crystaloid as that's easily my least favorite Breakout clone ever, let alone on OUYA. I'd say to mention Wizorb or Brick Break Blitz before that.

OUYA games I've had a hand in: Slashers: The Power Battle (voice actor), Battle High 2 (casting/marketing director, voice actor)

Heh, My Nuclear Octopus is great trippy intense stuff. Anyone who hasn't tried it yet needs to.

Well, now you are aware of them, there's no excuse to not at least have a quick look & play.

It seems like there's some sort of joke I'm not getting with the descriptions.
Bob's humour is very British and very dry. It's also based on his retro-gaming knowledge. He's a really great bloke that has done an awful lot for the scene.

RetroRemakes gets literally thousands of visitors, so front-paging OUYA stuffage is a majorly positive step in the right direction. Some of the games selected may well be obscure, but they are the games that have been mentioned at RR. And they may well be games that people here (and generally) have missed.
