Rubble N Strafe - Far From Sleep/Jay Griffin

Time for my latest game and my third one for OUYA, a Copter/Harrier Attack hybrid called Rubble N Strafe.

    The Blurb

Machine gun, bomb and rocket your way through an infinite horde of enemy troops in this updated take on the arcade action game. Inspired by the Amstrad classic "Harrier Attack", see how long you can survive until you're blown out of the sky, divebomb a little too deep or just run out of gas in the middle of the sea.

    - Simple two-button controls for anyone to play
    - Procedurally-generated world that never plays the same way twice
    - A Horde of hostile forces to ruin your day
    - More content to come in future updates

    Push to your OUYA

Comments are appreciated, as always. This one's still in active development, so any suggestions are gladly welcomed.

Coming soon: Local & Online hi-scores, more terrain zones (possibly including a copter-style "Cavern") and a few other bits 'n pieces.

Played it and loved it! I like how it's so simple yet so fun. Is it a completely free game?

Looks like fun! Definitely going to give it a run when I get off work.

Love the bouncy crash animation by the way, haha.

Yeah, it's completely free for the moment. There are plans for a one-off payment option to support development in a future version, but the base game will always be free. Plans are for the paid version to unlock an extra plane that's balanced differently (more maneuverable and powerful but slower-firing and harder to fly) as a bonus for supporters, but all other content will be open to all. I'm thinking around $2.99 for the supporter version.

Another update I'll be working on that's been suggested by the OUYA guys are short-term goals/achievements (kill 5 guys on a single island, land ten bombs without missing anything, that sort of deal) tied into a simple progression system. Should help give people a little something extra to aim for

Ok, I'll definitely be getting the Supporter version!

That's a great idea, it would give the game a lot more replay value and depth.

Looks very cool, although it is a little shame that it's an endless shooter? Is it just one constant level, like a score attack/endurance?

    How is that a negative?
