When the upgrade is at the level of K1, THAT is your reason to upgrade. If developers start making K1 level games, the current OUYA will be left in the dust. Even right now, the OUYA struggles to play Asphalt 8 and Amazing Spider-Man 2 at full speed on their highest settings. But anything better isn't worth paying for. The Fire TV uses a chipset that performs between the Tegra 3 and 4. A Tegra 4 with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage would be a HUGE upgrade from OUYA 1 and even the Fire TV.
