NanoTech and OUYA Partner to Bring Games to the Nuvola NP-1 Streaming Media Player

New partner for Ouya! So what does everyone think of the new partner and new device?

As part of the new OUYA Everywhere initiative, which aims to bring OUYA content to new platforms, the agreement allows NP-1 users to access hundreds of games, with more added each month.

so in other words there will be no "official" OUYA 2 hardware / console, but only any Android Based Set Top Box of your choice, offering OUYA OS for games.

Where did you get that information? According to the rep on the Ouya subreddit that the Ouya 2 is still in development.

A little pricey & I wasn't aware people were desperate for 4k yet.
    Hell i'm still on a 720p plasma.
Porn was such a shock in HD I can't imagine porn in 4k. LOL!

On a serious note, nanotech inc. seems to be a software & systems developer of their own also.
I gleaned it's mostly specialized software they write but it also said some games.

does nanotech have google play or do they have their own streaming apps like roku?
If the latter we can easily see some of those apps appear on the next OUYA.

to Pat1986 - if an OUYA2 doesn't appear i don't think it will be because of other devices they put their store on.
It will be because the company went down in flames.

They have promised an OUYA2 but got fuzzy on the hardware after that.
If they went back on the promise of an ouya 2 I'm not sure they could recover from that.

seen this device last month around the time ouya everywhere came to play, noticed it had a t4 and had a feeling they might be the next partnership.

That's great news at least it's cementing the Ouyas history adding it to all these things. I am actually getting a little excited for what there next box of tricks is going to be like.

I think it sounds like a mutually beneficial arrangement. It also makes me chuckle to recall some recent comments that Madcatz would be OUYA's only OUYA Everywhere partner.
