Sales do nothing for me. I'm extremely particular about what I'll buy, and I'll buy it with no consideration for cost if I want it.

I usually buy games with the pre paid cards but if a sale comes up i'll use my debit card straight away so I don't miss it.
I would have never bought Ittle Dew at its normal price because I think $14 is a pretty steep asking price especially with the mobile version being so cheap. Also bought Neon Shadow straight away too, I love the sales its a great idea.

I've bought so many games I can't list them on my sig now lol.

For me, a sale can help me to purchase a game I passed on earlier for whatever reason. I'll give the game a second look and maybe decide it's worth the reduced cost. In some cases I purchased games I had previously tried and enjoyed, but simply didn't enjoy enough to warrant their initial asking price.
Sales only influence me if I decided not to purchase a game due to the price and then it shows up on sale. Otherwise if I want a game bad enough and feel the price is fair then I won't wait in hope, I'll just get it. My buying habit is different on Steam where I pretty much only buy from sales.
They make it feel like I have to try them because if I try them after the sale then I may end up liking them and paying more. In other words, "free to try" changes to "free to try now before it is too late".

Must admit I'm starting to collect a backlog of games, steam-sale-style. Bought Ittle Dew when it was on sale, but still need to finish it before I go onto Neon Shadow and Polarity, both of which I'm pretty sure I've bought, then not got around to playing the full campaigns of
This is my thoughts exactly. If i see a sale on an older game, it brings it back to my attention, so I'm more likely to buy it. It gives the game a second resurgence, and then I can feel more comfortable in my purchase because of feedback/reviews I've heard about the game.
I say all this to note that if a new game comes out, and is launched on a sale, it doesn't affect my buying habit in any positive way. I still don't know anything about the game, so I'm not just going to jump on board. In addition, if I do get around to trying the game, I'm less likely buy it knowing it was cheaper previously.
Lookin' to move from being a lurker to a poster? Make sure to read the Forum Rules first, and we'll see you on the boards!
With the prices on the system I usually buy the game immediately. But some that either have issues or I just mentally note too check out later, get a second go when I see sales. Mostly sales remind me of games I passed up and of games I just missed all together. Currently though I have a 10 game backlog on Ouya so will probably hold off for a while lol
