Annoying misc loading (Version Check Failed) Internet not working...How to Fix?

My OUYA is rooted running the BAXY launcher, google play store installed & properly working.

Whenever im going through the menu e.g going through apps like Opera , Discover , games ect . My ouya randomly takes forever to load without reason , a notification pops up saying (Version check failed ) Internet not working ... & the OUYA continues about it's buisness... The internet however is properly working because I can go into discover at any given time , download & install software. Same with google play store and use any network related app I have on the OUYA . At first it was not a big deal , but man its happening more & more becoming a nuisance . Is there a way to shut the check version off ?

That often happens to me. I think it's just the usual quality of Ouya. Just ignore it (like most official Ouya things!)

he already diagnosed this as a google play error the other day, blaming ouya for something it didn't even cause is ridiculous. i have a feeling most peoples problems stem from the "after market " things they do to their ouya.
