    Play like Kaimega

    Hey Ouyalites,

I decided I wanted to do a Play like Kaimega. You can simply take or leave what I put but, I'll have you know I play alot of the stuff that are not well known as well. You may just find something you like!

Here are the first 10 games, every post after will only be 5 games :

    1. Pinball Arcade

Pinball Arcade has tons of fun pinball tables. It gets updated almost monthly (2 months apart being max) with new tables, and updates to current ones. Whether they be graphical, or physics tweaks. Certainly a fun game for any pinball fan. Comes with Arabian Nights for Free and the starter pack (Black Hole, Theatre of Magic, and Ripley's Believe it or Not) is $3.99 Table packs which generally come with 2 tables a pack is $4.99, and a whole season is $29.99

    2. Night Riders

Night Riders is a simplistic 3D Motorcycle Racer similar to games like Hang On. The game has multiple stages and a Couse mode of from beginner to expert, as well with 3 difficulty modes all making it much tougher. The game also lets you put your own songs in, so you can listen to your favourite tunes while you race. Go for this game, only $0.99.

    3. Square Off

This game is actually a launch title. But it was heavily missed out on. It is a multiplayer, wave based shooter where you star as spiffy squares eradicating the human invasion on earth. It is 2D sprites with 3D background like Soul Fjord and boy does it play smooth. It is fun to play with others as well as by yourself. A 1 - 4 player that is only $2.99

    4. Globulous

Globulous is a puzzler where the goal is to get to the centre under a time limit. Sort of like how many licks it takes to get to the centre of a tootsie pop! It is fun, and relaxing to play, if not a bit brain tweezing. You need to move the blocks so they match blocks of the same type, add a block on top and Smash them all into nothingness! Fun for those into puzzlers and only $1.99

    5. Lemegeton: Master Edition

A lot of you have probably heard me talking about Lemegeton all over the place, well it is good! A Metroidvania with a interesting story and 2 chapters (1 for 1 character, 2 for another.. trust me, it works). It has tons of RPG elements with level ups, weapons, and armour. If you also have the next game I list below installed, you can get some cool looking hidden stuff for your characters (you still have to find it, however). For $7.99 you certainly get your money's worth. (on sale for 2.99 as I type this)

    6. EnbornX

A Side scrolling shmup, when installed, can give you secret stuff for Lemegeton: Master Edition. This game is a boss battle style shmup that can get hectic real fast, which makes the game quite fun. I want to rid of this misconception, however. This game is NOT pay to win. If you Game over, you can continue from the last boss you game over'd at. If you want you can pay to get more power ups and lasers and such, but it is more fun when you complete it based on skill alone instead of those power ups. You can get extra lives as well by getting good scores. This game is FREE with IAP if you so choose to use them.

    7.CardMatch 3D

CardMatch 3D may look dull, but it the most polished Memory based game on here, AND it is really fun. This game has local multiplayer, online multiplayer, and play against the CPU. This game will have you hating people real quick. The power ups and Power downs add to the game as well as being able to change the rules to whatever you like. It is also up to 4 players, with multiple different themes. For only $0.99, this is a steal.

    8. SlideTapPop

Slide Tap Pop is another puzzler that is worth its salt. You have to move a row of block horizontally to match with other blocks around it. It can get quite tough if you get stuck or hit something too fast. There is also powerups and such here too, with a grand amount of levels, and an endless mode. $2.99 for this gem and certainly worth it.

    9.Cyclone Frenzy

The cover of this game may not look all that appetizing, but this destroy-em-all is very easy to get into and very hard to stop playing. You are a tornado ripping through the countryside, destroying everything in your path. Gold Tornadoes speed you up, storm chasers slow you down. The scientists are trying to suck you up, and bring you back to the lab. See how long you last! Not bad for a FREE game, donations are welcome however.

    10. Isle Defender

Now, I am not one for Tower Defense games, but this one is special, and is really tough. So tough that the developer had to put in an easy mode for those who couldn't handle it. Basically you are defending your lovely island against Army invaders. Plant your turrets, enhancers, and whatnot to prevent them from getting too far! If you are into Tower Defense, Isle Defender would be right up your alley. Oh, and did I mention how gorgeous the game looks? Only $1.99

Thanks for the info! I only have one from what you listed and two others were already on my radar. You should post your high scores for these games too.

Bah! Unlike a certain moderator on this forum who whines about not having friends , I do enjoy local and online multiplayer when it is available and when I have friends over. Hence my mentioning of Square Off and CardMatch 3D

You can see why we might have one less moderator in a few days when no one can find his body...
He has no friends so don't let him fool you, he plays those multiplayer games with his other personalities. It's probably him, a care bear, a pony and a GI Joe.

I was going to say it's a nice list but screw that.

A "Play Like Hugo" list would be pretty awful. It would have SuperGNES on it and a guide to sideloading emulators.

I just played Lemegeton. Although it worked with my PS3 pad/USB keyboard, I found that the controls were not precise and the numerous English errors were distracting enough not to warrant a purchase. That's a shame, as I love Metroidvania games.

A "Play like Primal" would be even worse, Hugo. Here's mine:

    1/ Riptide GP2 (Sideloaded)
2/ That new game on the Amazon Kindle Fire TV (the one where you shoot all the pretty alien monsters)
    3/ ETC

To be fair, this was done by a small indie team in Hong Kong. So I wouldn't expect perfect translations. It is a good metroidvania though. I never had an issue with impreciseness though..

I played Night Riders recently and quite enjoyed it, I keep meaning to give Lemegeton a try as I am a great fan of Metroidvania style games.
