More Sections For Other Mobile/Android Microconsoles Please!

I think we are all in agreement that Ouya isn't going anywhere positive right now and/or it's facing serious competition from other Mobile microconsoles and this is due to a number of reasons.

One thing I'd like to see here at this forum is a branching out and broadening of the forums to include (and welcome!) Fire TV, Mojo and other "Android microconsole" brethren to us. This would also be a great way to continue our community being together as we dabble with and/or migrate to those same aforementioned microconsoles ourselves.

I recommend sections for:

- Fire TV
- Mojo
- Gamestick
- Wikipad
- Tegra Shield
- Google's upcoming microconsole
- Ouya Everywhere platform
- Android hdmi sticks
- chrome cast
- ouya itself
- ios Apple TV
- etc

Although there are forums that career to "all" android devices, this forum is in a unique position that includes devs and gamers interested in convergence and/or android/mobile gaming on a tv or monitor. We can use our expertise to help each other and newcomers in sideloading, getting things like custom or third party apps (bespoke versions of xbmc, launchers like Frank's brilliant "baxy" launcher, etc) up and running on similar systems to ouya. Also, with "ouya everywhere" coming out, this will mean even more scope o row the form!

Be a shame for the forum to die just because the Ouya is/has.

Ouya isn't dead and the forum isn't dead.
Let's not put the cart before the horse.

Most of those listed are media boxes/sticks so not sure why they are listed as competition.
Ouya may have their problems but when you say serious competition and list (not naming names)...

There may be something added in the future, I'm pretty sure we opened a thread here in this section before about that. Have to see how things play out the next few months and if it's warranted or not. Don't want to make the forum bigger and then those sections aren't used. I can tell you that I went searching for forums for some of those listed and they don't exist, there is no demand.

And why would there be a section for Ouya on OuyaForum? Sounds redundant when the forum is about Ouya.

Disagree. Especially with firetv. Mojo maybe cause they are on the ouya everywhere list and others who adopt but we can't do it for every device waste of time. Ouya isn't dead neither are the forums.

I agree. This is an Ouya forum first. The others will just be there in case we have interested members who purchase other consoles. I fully intend to buy a Fire TV when I get the extra cash. It would be nice to be able to talk about it with familiar members from here.

This is probably the best solution but everyone seems to have different definitions of consoles.

MOJO, Gamestick, maybe Gamepop (think it got renamed).

The others are media boxes where gaming is secondary if they even have it at all.
