Fright Fight™ - Multiplayer Brawler - APPSolute Games LLC

Fright Fight is now available for download on the Discover Store!

    Online and Local Multiplayer Included!!

Fright Fight is a multiplayer brawler infused with rich RPG system elements. On OUYA, it is a fully-paid game and makes a perfect multiplayer party game.

This game is a combination of many genres, mixing horror, fantasy, and steampunk themes to create an ominous 3-D setting. Fright Fight features a bunch of characters from different realms, each with unique attack types, combos and skills. The epic battles full of special moves and fight effects will take place in several different worlds (each with 3 arenas), starting with Flying Islands, and followed by a Space and Graveyard themed arena.

You will have the ability to connect with up to 3 other players from around the world, and compete in 4 player action-packed matches. Play against random opponents or invite your friends to a game. The Cross-Platform functionality allows you to play against your friends even if you have an OUYA and they are playing on iOS, Android , or NVIDIA Shield

Please let us know your comments and suggestions! Enjoy!

Got it, bought it, love it Noticed some lag in odd spots, but I think it is network related (My network).

I *really* want to love this game, I do.

The gameplay is good--it's not 100% perfect, but it is good. I'm a huge fan of the online multiplayer as well as local multiplayer. I wouldn't hesitate to pay $9 for this game, EXCEPT...

Once you buy it, you still get nagged for money ALL THE TIME. I'm not just talking about the popups, which are a bug...I'm talking about the fact that the game is ALWAYS in my face, encouraging me to spend real money on in-game currency, or spend in-game currency on SOMETHING...and, of course, ACCORDING TO THE DEVELOPERS, none of the in-app purchases are really worth it. If you've read the 34 page thread in upcoming games and apps section, perhaps you've seen this quote:

Quote Originally Posted by Fright Fight

So why, if coins and double xp (and by extension, everything they can buy) won't make us win, does the game push them on us so very, very hard?

I know I'm only one person, but I will not be buying this game (despite the fact that I really do want to play and love it) unless I can buy the game, and then not have in-app purchases advertised at me. Again, I know the popups aren't supposed to be there. But what about the banners? The constant option to buy double XP? The constant choice to buy more than just 2x potions as a power up before matches?

If I buy a game, especially a game for $9 (which I don't consider unreasonable, but it *is* a very high price for an OUYA or Mobile game), I'm INCREDIBLY turned off by the game continuing to ask me for money.

If you want to look at a good example of a game that handles this very, very well on OUYA, look at Meltdown. It looks like it's a p2w game (just like Fright Fight looks like it's p2w), but with a one-time purchase, there's no nagging, and iAPs drop much more on OUYA than they do on iOS or Google Play, where the game *is* p2w. At the same time, the store is still there (but it isn't shoved in my face), if you decide you want to buy any of the p2w aspects (which, again...aren't needed, because they drop pretty frequently during standard game play).

So unless there's a major change in the monetization model, there is no chance I'll be buying Fright Fight, and I will actively recommend that people don't buy it unless there is a change because I find the constant iap nags/banners/etc incredibly off-putting.

    later in the post.

So again, unless the monetezation model is DRASTICALLY changed after purchase, and more than just the popups are removed, there is ZERO chance I'll be buying this or recommending that anyone else buys it. It's downright offensive how much this game tries to get money out of me, especially given that the DEVS THEMSELVES have stated that the in-app purchases aren't worth it. So they're basically trying to scam me out of my money for very minor advantages that make minimal difference in actual gameplay.

I find that offensive, especially with a $9 asking price.

Nobody ever said that the in-game purchases were not worth it, just that they are not required to "win"

The coins are used for the core loop of the game. You play matches, you earn XP and coins, and you spend coins to upgrade your character. We are certainly not nagging you to purchase anything.

With love & peace, Fright Fight. I recommend this game to anyone wanting to beat the hell out of their friends in a virtual world and of course without the cops getting involved.
