Are you exiting out of the emulator before you turn off your OUYA?
I don't know if this affects anyone else but I seem to have a real issue with saving with all of those .EMU emulators, like this past week I was playing both Yoshi's Island and Castlevania: COTM and after playing for a while and turning the system off I come back and discover nothing there.....

I don't think that matters. If the save directory is set, then it will always write to it as soon as the moment he saves the game in-game. Just like save states, it writes the moment he clicks save regardless of shutting of the Ouya while still in an emulator.

I was playing genesis and it wouldn't let me quick save by default for some reason. So I just made a save folder named game saves and made that my save path. now it works![]()
All I want is to play a game, save it the normal way, turn off the console and when I come back I can load it. The non .emu emulators work fine yet I lost huge amounts of progress from these emulators
Ok so it seems I have to exit the emulator for the save to work as oppose to what I do and turn off the Ouya when Im done
I go back today and my entire GBA save is GONE, even the save states!!!!

I recommend making a folder somewhere on your Ouya with FilePWN and set all of your save directories in all of your emulators to that folder. That's what I did and I had never had a problem with saving since then.
