Orbits of Conquest - Ghost Time Games

Finally launched my new game today. Orbits of Conquest was developed with the Ouya specifically in mind. Although it may seem like a shoot-em up at first there's actually a lot of patience and strategy involved. I also wouldn't recommend playing by yourself since the real meat of the game is in the versus mode.

I'm happy to answer any questions about the game here. I'll also add that the game is 30% off this week for a launch sale. If you enjoy the basic versus mode the full game unlocks 3 other modes that offer a lot of variety as well as some good customization options.

Tried by myelf, as currently have no friends around to try!

I can see this be a a fav for some fun 4 playerr sessions, my only gripe at this time ist he bullets... I love the 1950's colour and effects but the bullets are very hard to see. Can they be made to stand out a little more please?

@WazMeister I will look into a way to add user support for adjusting the game contrast/brightness and possibly make the bullets way brighter as well. In the mean time adjusting your tv brightness/contrast might help out. I haven't had an issue with visibility on my display but I realize that every tv is different. Thanks for the feedback!

if you're playing on a television turn off any image enhancements, as they tend to make the picture rather worse.

Just pushed out an update yesterday. The new version should be more forgiving on new players trying to get the hang of the controls with faster restart flow.

I also added a cool feature so that if you get into the top 5 high-scores the full version of the game will automatically unlock for you. But if you lose your spot in the top 5 scores then you go back to demo mode again (unless you've already bought the full version). I'll be backing up and resetting high scores every couple weeks or so as well so you'll always have a chance to get in there.

Any other feedback is welcome. I got some great notes from people in the last week which I was able to implement for this update. I'll probably look at doing another one soon if I get some more.

The dev got back to me and informed me that it now works with PS3 controllers and/or with a USB keyboard attached. I have confirmed that this is indeed the case.
