I want to repeat my own post, as I think only one person read it. Maybe that's one of the reasons why some people find this philosophy "silly" after all.

I might be wrong about this, because I didn't delve too much into that topic yet, but I often wondered if it's even possible to integrate the ODK into everything that you might want to use to make games. For example, if I use PGS4A (PyGame Subset For Android), or even things like GameMaker, Fusion, Unity, etc, I am not really sure if they all allow to integrate the ODK or already have it integrated, in order to call those IAP functions.
If the store handles the BUY button, it makes things a lot easier for developers, because they simply don't have to worry about that IAP code.

That said, I really like the Free To Try model in general, so I can understand the negative feedback here. But in the end, it's the developers' own problem, if they do not offer a demo for their game. Also, even while Free To Try existed, there were some really ridiculous demos, as far as I remember, i.e. demos where you play 1 level or maybe 2-3 minutes until the paywall already appears, so even with Free To Try it's possible to create unsatisfying demos, and again, that's the developers' own problem eventually.

    Thanks for the heads up.

@Community: Regardless of how you feel about what Terry said; I don't want negative comments towards him since it's technically flaming another user of the forum. To those of you who don't know, that's against the rules here. The last few posts have been edited and this counts as a verbal warning to everybody.

At the end of the day this is not the first or the last company to have a policy and change it. It is up to us(individually)if this is a deal breaker and part ways/stop caring or see if anything good comes out of it. Frankly, I think OUYA is in 3DO/Jaguar territory and if they keep heading in that direction, they will be a footnote in gaming history. All this waling and gnashing of teeth is all sound and fury signifying nothing. You can agree/disagree on this and you know what:

P.S.: I had a Jaguar and 3DO and enjoyed them to the hilt(even when it was over), I'll do the same if that happens to the OUYA.
