"Hello OUYA Incorporate. I've been wanting to put my game on your platform for a while now. It's on Google Play right now and I noticed it's one of the top side-loaded games. I'm not getting any purchases and I certainly don't like the fact that what I consider to be a viable platform to put my content on is used as an easy means to get my content for free. I will choose to avoid supporting your console unless you remove side-loading.

Sincerely,
???"

Just an example and we never thought Free-To-Try would be removed so who is to say that this wouldn't be the future as well? Hell of a lot of work, but possible.
Don't worry, a lot of us developers get ignored too...
Let's not keep thinking "we lost one thing so what's next".
Just have to roll with the punches and hope there is something positive out of this, whatever it is.

Besides, without sideloading you'd lose the other half of the equation. I never sideloaded anything, not planning to but it's still a feature that has use to someone.
People like you who were here FOR THE CAUSE should also have a say, as well as gamers, as well as developers. One common thread I'm finding is that no one seems to know who these developers are who are saying demos are bad or whatever, not even other developers and we have a ton of them here interacting with the consumers and fellow developers alike. I'd hate to see some of our developers who are actually here interacting with consumers, starting to feel the wrath warranted or not. When this popped up I thought we'd have to have bodyguards for people but it's been civil. Outside of here is a mess....Twitter is a nightmare.

It's funny how some are claiming that anyone who is not happy is whining or whatever yet someone had to "whine" to get this change, it goes both ways.
Keep hearing the term self entitled. I know I used it and used it properly, there are some who think it's like their right to do certain things. I was hoping that number was like 2 or 3 not the number I'm actually seeing.
Well self entitled isn't being mad because one of the principle reasons you supported something is gone.
Self entitled might be feeling like it was some big victory when it is indeed a loss. Too many are only seeing it from their side of the equation and not thinking about the other.
So you want people to buy your games but you sit there and insult them? What does that solve? It's funny how someone who pulled their game for their own principles is now happy OUYA went back on theirs and cursing out people who are not happy. Seriously, what does that do?
Then you have consumers who are mad because what they supported is starting to look like what they tried to get away from with Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo. No one went at a specific developer like they seem to be acting, I'm watching as developers are are acting like they're a mouse backed into a corner by 10 cats. So now when the first premium developer comes out they may get boycotted or lynched by pixels. All because the consumers are getting smacked around by developers, yet no one named names. If they said Developer X and Developer X responded then I could see that but why the hate for someone being upset over losing something they really saw value in?

I couldn't care less who's mad with what I said, it's about trying to mend what has now truly broken the OUYA community. Fighting amongst each other doesn't solve anything. Soon we'll be seeing articles ripping apart OUYA again for all this.

It sucks seeing everyone divided but it is what it is. This situation should have been handled much better but the damage is done.

Anyone at O is welcome to contact Mr Killswitch and be interviewed about the situation and try to clear up some of this mess. You know where to find me. Won't be some argumentative debate, not my style. I'd like to talk to someone and get some answers for people so that maybe this firestorm could be calmed for EVERYONE involved. I already have a few calling me the OUYA ombudsman so obviously I'm for seeing this thing through. But I don't get many email responses or Twitter so if you want to talk, open invitation from me, just let me know. If not, that's cool too. But no one getting answers is what causes these controversies, especially when it's a console that was backed by the same people who now feel ignored. The blog post was a start, Julie and James posting here was a start, but can't we do a little more? Have enough OUYA haters out there as it is, let's not create more.
