New ouya controller better?

I read the new black ouya has a improved response time on controller. Is it the actual ouya or controller ? If its the controller, where came we buy one as after all this time the ouya pad is still annoying me through my love of ouya

If you have an older controller that is not firmware 1.4 you can send it in. Been posted in many places on the forum.
Just contact support and they should be able to help you out.

I have often wondered if the ouya shell material is not at fault for the delays (which i never experience) I would like to get a custom case and see if there is a significant difference. honestly I really believe this to be the case (no pun intended)

How do we check what firm ware we have, how do I know what firm ware the controller will have if I buy another? Is it the firmware that caused poor response and sometimes delays.


Love my Ouya, play on it lately more than my new xbox one, something about chilling out on ouya with some simple games really relaxes me and a bonus with friends with all the multiplayer mayhem.

So wish someone created a GTA style game, sure they could get it on par with GTA 1 graphics, be hilirous a open game like that!

For what its worth, I believe that the controller lag is more likely to be caused that the amount of data being sent, rather than issues with materials or antennas. The OUYA controller seems to detect as a mouse, keyboard and gamepad all at once, with far too many (more than are actually used) axis and buttons. Which could also be why ps3 controllers work much better, they are just controllers.
