    .EMU Update HQ2X

    All,

The .EMU emulators were updated last week and now include this filter. However, it seems to bring the system to a crawl when trying to use them. Is our Ouya really too weak to use this feature or is this a bug? It seems to work perfect on my Moto X.

Anyone else try this out yet?

i guess the filter is processed via cpu not gpu. that's why it's breaking the performance on the OUYA

Any news on any fixes/updates for this, games look really nice with the filter on but they become unplayable.....even NES and 2600 games

HQ2X can make some games look pretty neat (it's really game-dependant depending on the game's art style). It's bilinear filtering that I despise, making everything look blurry and horrid. And, sadly, it's enabled by default.
I don't mind seeing pixels, it's part of the charm. I do like a subtle 10% scanline over the games though.

10% scanlines, nothing more. looks the closest to real hardware on a crt.
