Jumpman Forever - Midnight Ryder Technologies

This thread is for the discussion of Jumpman Forever Beta 1. (note to developer - send me a private message if you would like to edit this thread)

After 30 years, the classic C64 / Atari era game is back in this authorized sequel, Jumpman Forever!

Unlike modern platform games, Jumpman Forever doesn't hold back - expect to really work at beating the 14 levels contained in the beta!

This beta version shows the true retro styling of the game, the two playable characters - Jumpman & Red, and 14 levels of high energy platform puzzle action!

This game was way too glitchy for me, everything has to be too precise in my opinion.

I've bought so many games I can't list them on my sig now lol.

I had trouble getting off the ladders. I would die from even the tiniest fall off the ladder.

I love jumpman (kickstarted it) and am looking forward to seeing it progress!

Is this still in beta, or have things improved?

Seems odd to charge $3.99 for a beta, with no free demo.

Despite that, words cannot describe how super-excited I was to see this on the Ouya store!

No it is not in beta anymore

I believe it was released a month or 2 ago

    Fantastic news! Buying tonight then...

I went ahead and bought it...

I'm smiling from ear to ear right now.

Trust me when I say the gameplay style you remember and love is fully intact. I'm not sure how I feel about the graphics yet (I actually think they should have kept it even more minimal), but everything that matters is exactly the way it should be - even the classic sound effects!

For $3.99 with free quarterly level packs, you really can't go wrong! Plus, there's awesome in-app purchase bashing on one of the screens.

I agree! One of those rare gems that most may skip over at first but once you play it your a kid with your C64 again. More minimal was what I was thinking too lol. But you have to hand it to him, he did a great job. In-app purchase bashing lol

Erm game looks great and all...but the Jumpman is another name for Super Mario , its what he was called in Donkey Kong. I'd advise a name change before the lawers apear >_>
Got a gut fulla' dynamite and a booty like POOOW!

Jumpman was the name of the original game. This is an authorized sequel. See the video.
My Ouya games collection is now too big to list here.
