Some info from New York Comic Con:

 

*Hun joins the Purple Dragons, and unlike the previous incarnations (giant blonde guy), he's basically an evil, teenaged Bruce Lee
*Renet, the time mistress seems to be Michelangelo's love interest
*Donatello gets possessed by a "Speed Demon", which turns him into, basically Rat Fink but a Turtle (not the first time there's been a Rat Fink-inspired TMNT story, probably won't be the last
*Armaggon was hinted at
*Renae Jacobs, the original voice of April in the '87 series, will voice April's mother

Well, season 3 hasn't disappointed at all. Loved the first episode and the direction they took it pay homage to the comics / movie. What's your reaction to Leo's change in voice? Strangely enough... it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be. Taken a little bit getting used to, but I keep seeing a glimpse of Leo's personality (thus far) shining through in key moments... so I think the transition will work. Just curious as to what you all think.

I didn't say it was my favorite. I just find myself hopeful that it will work. I don't think he will be as good as Biggs, but it hasn't been as horrible as I thought it would be. I just want them to keep Leo's personality the same, no matter what he sounds like... and I think they are keeping it as close as they can, up to this point. Still to early to tell given his current condition.

Last night's episode was probably one of the most freakish in the series so far. Hehehe

In case you mates didn't see in the "look what I bought" thread, I've got the super-articulated Revoltech 2012 series figures that just came out. Pricey, but worth it.

Now I can only eat ramen until probably mid-December.

The Leonardo voice thing still feels weird to me plus...
Well I don't want to spoil it for others but this season is missing something or maybe I got used to season 2.

Thoughts on season 3?

I just recently (last week) got caught up. I was about 3 episodes behind. I'm liking it... but I find that this season is really just.... strange. It seems like they are trying to come up with as much freaky stuff as they possibly can and throwing it all at us.

 

Also, the fact that we have yet to have any setting in the city (outside of Donnie's dream sequence that one episode) is making me take notice. It's like... ok, we've been in the forest for HOW LONG NOW?!?!? I think I'm beginning to miss seeing the familiar faces of Splinter, Shredder, etc. I think they need to make a move to go back towards the city in the next few episodes and get out of this twilight zone type of setting.

I still enjoy season 3 a lot, but it does feel like it has lost some of the appeal and charm that seasons 1 and 2 had. Maybe that will change when the above is met.
