Very much looking forward to playing this.
As a side-note, the update to A Bit of a Do made that exponentially more difficult. Hoping that this is just as difficult as you've made that.![]()
In Disc Blaster you get to battle against small microbes inside a petri-dish style container.
It's a good old fashioned space-battler, with oodles of short-sweet levels.
The game gets progressively tougher as the microbes start to spread at a faster rate, and multiply exponentially. Can you keep them at bay without setting the alarm off?
Along the way you'll gain a single powerup which will allow you to blast the microbes away at a slightly better rate, but use it wisely as it wears off pretty quickly!
Play Tip : Blast the yellow/red/blue microbes as quickly as you can. As soon as you let them spread, you're going to find your job a much harder task!
You can Download the game from the OUYA Store

Yeah, I much prefer difficult games. I try to start games off at around-about "Level 6", where the action's kicking into gear, and the game's getting good. The way I see it, if people are actually going to play "AGameAWeek", they're going to get bored out of their mind if every game starts off with a ten minute tutorial!
My rule is, no tutorials wherever possible. Get in, get the game going, and get as much gameplay as you can within the short amount of time that the player can still be bothered.
My games are short and sweet, and tend to be quite disposable as a result. You won't normally find yourself playing my games for hours at a time, and they sure as heck won't last you weeks or months, but for the short amount of time you do spend with them, I try to ensure they give you as much "fun" as I can cram into them. Fun's what gamings for, right!?!![]()
I love your game a week titles, I still play Space Popcorn whenever I have the Ouya on, it's good to see how long I can last.
This game is looking cool too, looking forward to trying this one.

I still want multiplayer space popcorn! would be fun to outlast my enemies!
The idea is still fermenting.. One day, you'll get your Popcorn-Bucket...
Just got around to this. Certainly one of the best Game a week titles I've played.
The real beauty is in the sheer simplicity of this game. It starts off all easy. You think it's all just a bit of target practice. Next thing you're shouting "Die you bastards!" When you're out of the good firepower and things aren't going too well. The bar on the right's filling up, and you're just painfully delaying the inevitable.
Death brings replayability. Because you know you can score better next time around. You do, and so begins a vicious cycle of addictiveness!
