    Fist Puncher - Team2Bit

Fist Puncher is now out on OUYA. Fist Puncher is a parody of and homage to old school local co-op brawlers. It's packed with 19 playable characters and 50 levels (and, yes, they're NES-hard levels... no hand holding). Fist Puncher was Kickstarted in 2012, released on Steam last year by Adult Swim, and now we're happy to finally get it ported to OUYA. You can check out the trailer here:

    Thanks!

Played the demo one release day. Loved it. Plan on picking it up, for he 4 player support alone. Great job on this.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I met Julie at IndieCade in 2012 and demoed Fist Puncher to her way back then. We've been wanting to do an OUYA port ever since. It was just a matter of finding the time and the right people to help with the process. Anyway, it feels great to put something out on the OUYA. It's a cool little system that has a much needed place in the video game ecosystem.

OK its fun but 9.99!?!? No game on the ouya (so far) should be more than 4.99 and most should be even less. Fun is all it is really...streets of rage looks and plays better and its over 20 years old. For 2.99...maybe 3.99 I would buy it but 9.99...no chance

So a developer does not deserve to cover their costs for producing the game? It's not Streets of Rage, it's Fist Puncher. And you know how much you would have paid for Streets of Rage back then? $40-60. So now $9.99 is too much? If you don't agree fine but $4.99 or less for all games on OUYA? If you want to see a bunch of low budget games that's up to you but people put time and effort into these games, for some it's what they do full time. I haven't even played the game yet but 50 levels of play is a lot more than some of the developers are giving you right now. It's a few cups of coffee or a trip to McDonald's these days.

I respect developers but back then streets of rage was equal to something like modern warfare of today...mainstream and top of the charts, so $50 would be normal. An indie game is different and although it would be nice to get paid big bucks for everything classed as hard work it is unlikely and looking at the price list of Ouya games you can see where the industry is at....mostly under 4.99 with very few charging 10. Indie developers of cheaper games put in hard work too...mystery castle is aamazing, has tons of levels and is about 4 quid for the whole package. What makes this game worth 9.99? Its like a non-famous author writing a readable, but not extraordinary, book and then asking bestseller price for it just because it took 3 years to write. In a perfect world we would all be rich and pay indie developers what they deserve for everything they do. Unfortunately we don't live In a perfect world
    And markets dictate prices
