Before I got my hands on an Ouya, I started porting Vertex Blaster to touch-based Android (the game was on iOS before Android), but moved to Ouya once...
Alright, version 1.0.2 is live now, and should fix the input-on-launch crash. :)
Edit: Sorry if this double-post was a no-no, but I wanted to bump so people would know the fix is live.
The person at OUYA that I talked to said they had reached out to the other devs to let them know about the bug, so hopefully they have a fix incoming as well. Looks like you inadvertently helped out...
Ok, so T2KFreeker was kind enough to help me isolate the issue (had to do with the controller sending input to the game while it was still in the process of launching), and a fix has been submitted...
Well at least they were able to reproduce it and maybe we can get to the bottom of it. Would you mind PMing me the case number or something, so that when they get back to me with my support ticket,...
Well that's good to hear. Here's what I've tried this morning:
• Factory wipe of OUYA
• Created new OUYA account
• Downloaded Meltdown and Lost Souls, launch/played them both a bit
•...
Thanks for the update. I'll reach out to OUYA and see what could possibly be causing this - it makes no sense.. O_o
Edit:
Kaimega, are you still having an issue? Or did clearing the cache...
Still haven't been able to break it, here. :\
If you get a chance, could you try something? Clear the cache again (so everything should work in theory), then put JUST Vertex Blaster and...
Alright, so I just downloaded Lost Souls and Meltdown, fired up each of those and Vertex Blaster over and over and couldn't get it to break. :\ I guess I should be happy that I can't break it but...
Ok, so here's what all I just tried (after the system update):
•Install game to internal storage
•Install game to external storage
•Install game to internal, launch it, exit, then move to...
One question for you: do you have it installed to internal memory or USB?
My system is currently updating, yes. But I did try running the current version of Vertex Blaster before the update started, and it started up just fine, so I really don't know what to think. :\ ...
If that's the case, please let me know. Everything should be pretty sandboxed, meaning one app/game can't affect anything on another app/game, so if something like that has managed to happen I'll...
Hey guys,
Sorry you're having trouble starting it! :( I haven't run into that before, but I'm trying to reproduce it now. When I went to do that, my system started downloading an update (system...
Thanks! Yeah, some of my very favorite arcade games are pretty unforgiving, so I suppose that's where that comes from. :)
Thank you! Glad you're enjoying it.
Hi everyone,
I finally finished porting my game Vertex Blaster to the Ouya, and published it this evening! It's a dual-stick shooter in the vein of games like Super Stardust HD and Geometry...
Thanks guys. If you've got an iOS device, it's in the App Store right now if you want to check it out. But I'm not gonna lie, it is approximately 10x better on the big screen using an Ouya...
Hi everyone,
I posted this in the official forums, but someone over there said I may want to post here too. :)
I finally got my Kickstarter unit, and have been working on porting my iOS game...
