by the looks of the install you just plug the cable into the supplied adapter and it works fine. i'll post more after i install it tonight.

the fan that came with my ouya had a cracked blade and caused a very high pitch sound. instead of sending it back or returning it to best buy which have 0 in stock i decided to fix it myself.

but...

i also ordered that fan and will be replacing it tomorrow (6/28).

the ouya is extremely easy to take apart and the fan is held on by just 4 screws. i'll try to remember to take some pics.

these at least work with the ps3 controller, i haven't messed around with x360.

Ive got mine running through my 5.1 system and i have not heard anything come out of the rear speakers yet.

My roomate has an Ouya coming today so we will see what his sounds like. I would take it back to best buy but it seems like they are all sold out now.

after about 5-10 mins of the Ouya powering on the fan kicks into high gear and makes a very high pitch sound and doesn't stop until all power is killed. anyone else experiencing this?
