I saw this coming miles away (see my previous suggestions). Nostalgia is now effectively a "rom manager" (similar to PC variants that have been around for a very long time); except it's for Android....
I happen to agree that marking games as 'played' is not really needed and a bit cumbersome. For large sets, I tend to launch lots of different ones and some I will play and some I won't -- doesn't...
So far so good :) Base functionality works and looks good too!
If I had to nit-pick:
If a game is marked as favorite in row 1, and right below it in row 2 another game is marked as played, the...
In that case, Interactive Fetch is now working fine for me :)
At some point the matching algorithm could probably use some tweaking -- for instance all my "Super Mario"s ended up with the same info...
Interactive Fetch is now working a lot better, but there is still some work to be done.
Under SNES, certain titles will return results, but when I go to update the meta data, it doesn't stick --...
You *almost* sound a bit discouraged -- I hope not!!!!
Generally I see this falling into (3) areas:
1. Much needed feature requests
2. Stability
3. Speed (performance)
To answer your...
Loaded 2.3.7.7
Had to do a manual "Refresh from local content" for 13 systems :/
Issue with Interactive Fetch -- I took the rom IMAGE FIGHT which was detected "10-YARD FIGHT', did INTERACTIVE...
It's still all borked!! :(
I looked in the log file and it references:
Adding file: /mnt/sdcard/ROMS/
But the folder I configured the system to is /sdcard/ROMS/ (via the GUI interface)
Is...
UGH, 2.3.7.6 just broke all cover art / meta, I'm getting ROM not found, etc -- looks like you might be aware of it already....
Just in case let me be specific: Interactive Fetch worked, then I...
Both the cover and the info doesn't get updated; the old data remains. In other words, running the Interactive fetch has no effect, no change.
Also, SuperGNES replied to my email -- they will be...
To clarify: When I originally fetched using the version in the OUYA Store, all the Super Mario Bros under NES appears with the same info. However, I was able to do interactive fetch to correct the...
Its pretty much happening to everything I tried. So for example, under NES, various "Super Mario" titles were all detected as the same game. I go in and change the name to Super Mario 2, fetch, but...
Interactive fetch doesn't crash anyone, BUT it doesn't seem to be working either. So for example, for games with incorrect covers, I go in and search for the correct name and choose it. The problem...
Awesome!, I've got a GLOBAL fetch going across 13 systems, 5000 files -- If this gets rock stable the PC downloader app really does become optional :) How does the logic work? -- I assume if there's...
I've emailed the developer on this -- I can only hope they will read and respond. Looking forward to testing out the "all systems download".
By the way, I was able to test 3 'console' sets so...
Quick update, but nothing to report that hasn't been already...
1. Interface seems faster.
2. SuperGSNES is broken -- it will launch the app, but from there it closes back out to the OUYA...
I'll definitely test -- though it will take me a day or two to actually do that (not much time after work!). Can you clarify "If you have a crash, please take note of where it occurs and how you...
Nice!
I'm will to be a tester if need be. I could take my folders and remove all image/info files then try to do a re-fetch. I don't recall from last time, but it would be nice to "queue" up all...
Nice! New release soon? :)
More Feedback:
Searching doesn't scale well when you have thousands of roms. For example, its taking 10-15 seconds to return search results in my current...
My understanding is that the appropriate "intent" must be in place in order for Nostalgia to make the appropriate call to the emulator to launch the specific rom. I found this post on XDA that has...
"If you want PLAY Store get a MOJO."
"If you want PS3 controller support use a PS3."
Now that I've gotten the above opinions out of the way.. here's mine:
I consider OUYA a somewhat "open"...
OUYA: I certainly appreciate the efforts of updated firmware. BUT,
Why can't OUYA provide better support for controllers? For instance, using a PS3 controller while it works, has issues (i.e....
Thanks, I appreciate your effort with looking into this. I have also email the developers of supergsnes.
++ for a fantastic developer!!
- I have the same question as above - will this be made available on the Play Store at some point?
- Is support for supergnes in the works?
Thanks!
First off, thanks for taking the time to read my feedback and responding; comments below :)
1. The syncing/download of meta data is need of some serious help. The downloads are extremely slow...
