Not quite what I meant sorry. I meant changing the DNS setting on your ouya whilst connected by Ethernet without filling in all the information. Every time I just set the DNS server in advanced settings it would come up invalid response select between 0-255. So I had to fill out all fields to set it up. That guide above will put American netflix on without going into your router at all to make it as easy as possible.
I have used the router before to change the DNS setting for my whole network so all devices connected to the American netflix, but as these free DNS' keep getting blocked by netflix it was more of a headache to have to go back into the router to change the DNS, as opposed to just advanced settings on the ouya. Saying that if you have a network set up with a few media boxes and media servers setting up a static ip network is the way to go, and if you pay for a smart DNS putting that setting into the router is also the best way to use it. The paid ones don't get blocked so once you have set it up you can forget about it and all netflix devices will automatically connect to the American netflix. In case your not familiar with smart DNS i use overplay and you only input the one change for a DNS server and every geo restricted site opens up. This meant I could use Al Jazeera and American netflix at the same time whilst in the uk without having to change any settings. They all just work.

Coverage and availability of servers are decisive factors when judging the effectiveness of VPN services. This is another important aspect to consider because the versatility and flexibility of a VPN provider can be measured in the type of IPs that they offer. That is why I keep on using http://www.primovpn.net for a very long time. Its cheap and reliable.

Free VPN's will record everything you do and sell your personal information to anyone that wants' to buy it. They may also place malware on your computer that hackers can use to take over you machine with. Maybe you can try some paid one, like PureVPN is good VPN Service. I am also using Netflix in Australia with the service of PureVPN

Guys,
I'm having troubles streaming youtube or any other online tv using XBMC and VPN. What happens is as soon as the stream has started it's jamming all the time and never gets smooth. I'm connecting to my VPN using the android vpn profile (Settings -> More -> VPN). As soon as I disconnect from the VPN the youtube works properly. My VPN provider (Witopia) is not the bottleneck as I have tested it many times on my Android phone and on PC with the same gateway and I can easily stream in HD...
Any idea what might be causing it?
Also, I've tried the PureVPN application but it doesn't seem to work on my OUYA - as soon as I exit the app the VPN connection is gone... Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks
