I think a lot of it has to do with how the Ouya assigns devices. Why in the world when you pair a second controller, and then cut it off, and pair another one, it makes that controller NUMBER 3, instead of filling up the second slot.... it's frustrating. I really wish they would look at trying to come up with a solution to make it a lot easier to assign controllers / devices into controllers slots, other than the method they currently have.
From working in device assignments with USB and wireless related things, it actually isn't an easy thing (believe it or not). What happens when pairing a controller it will receive ID# 1 for example. When you unpair it, that ID has been used so the only logical step would be to use the Next available ID... Now I might be wrong but I do recall being something related to controller pairing per game in the ODK to set up who would be player 1, etc etc.. there were multiple ways to do it if I remember right.Quote:

Microsoft had a proprietary signal so they could do what they want, but Playstation 3 used bluetooth.. I believe they put something in their controllers to give a unique identifier when registering to the console itself... but I could be wrong..

Right, long time lurker (since the very first page of the Neon Shadow CreateJam thread on Upcoming!) - thought I'd finally pop in and say hi!
Am loving the game, and only really see it getting better (more gun/gun types, levels, maybe stats/rankings?)

Just tried it, its a really fun game. However it froze once on the loading game screen, now I am stuck on the "searching for games"

Yeah that was a great game! Whoever Mattsoft is - it's ON! Totally came back to win when I was on 14!
Was keen to revenge and suddenly everyone dropped out, and yeah, like you am stuck on 'searching for games'... Maybe server needs to be reset again?
Tasty: this is something to look at - breaks the flow of the game if you can't stay on and play/server crashes. I did notice the person who was listed as player 1 in the lobby dropped first, and then everybody else went - is the first player 'host'? Might be a reason why the game gets confused when someone drops out..

hah hah! yeah, it's a fun game but the lag was killing me. sometimes i would fire with the shotty and the enemy wouldn't be in my sites, and then half a second later they would collapse in a heap. i dropped out because it was so frustrating. :(Quote:
