A simple trick to get larger shoutbox

This is by no means a viable solution, but it's enough to get me by for as long. Maybe some of you find this helpful. I'm using Chrome but I can't see why this wouldn't work in most browsers.

1. Right click the shoutbox and choose the last option (In my swedish copy of Chrome it's "Granska komponent" which translates to "Examine component")

2. Locate "ul.dbtech_shouts" and click it

3. Rightclick the line with "height:130px", choose "Edit with HTML" and change the value to 320x

4. Close window and the shoutbox should snap to it's new value

I know it seems like a bit much, four steps just to get the box to display all (20) shouts - but it's alright. It takes a second or two and I keep the tab open all day so... It's two seconds in the morning and then the shoutbox is fine all day.

I wonder if someone knows how to write a userscript for Greasemonkey to do it automatically?

That would be pretty sweet!

As far as I know we can change the size of it now in the Free Version. I'll have to just cut out the middle-man and talk to him myself as it's dragging out.

In the North American version it's "Inspect Element". Chrome is great in how it lets you modify the page on the fly like that. I've also used a technique similar to this to get rid pop-ups that obscure articles when they want you to "sign up to read more".
