I've heard nothing but good things about this game. It's classed as one of the best RPG experiences on Android. I've previously played a very small portion on my friends phone, whilst we were having a gaming night.
Apparently we was supposed to be taking turns on his PS3... I was too busy with this.
So even though I haven't tried the OUYA version yet. I'm already gonna purchase this. If you like RPGs then Try it & Buy it!!
Will have to download ASAP, brought my OUYA to my bro-in-law's house to show it off and everyone was having too much fun playing/watching MirrorMoon and Hero of Many! Somehow missed this game coming out.
Looks great, as per usual curious on cost and storage space.
Cost is $4.99 - This gives about 20 hours worth of game time. Although it took my aforementioned friend about 30 hours... Plus there's enough Random events and dialogue to give more than one play through. So bang for your buck, along with the unique gameplay style is certainly there.
Imagine the game Reaper and Oregon Trail, but with turn based and somewhat automated combat. But with a hell of a lot less repitition, a stronger, deeper, more involved and better story etc. thrown in. Couple that with some rather gorgeous art, music and attention to detail...Then you've got the basics. The game has more depth than you expect though.
Initial download is 5MB which is basically a client to download one of 3 different resolutions of the game. The max resolution (1280 x 800) comes in at 706MB.
Lesser resolutions are less and will give a more old school look to the game. Kinda suits really.

Feedback to Devs:
1) The Codex is failing to load. I would be keen to actually read the 100 page document to learn more about the game's lore and other good stuff.
2) Selections in the menus are difficult to see, and therefore to make somewhat. I would suggest some form of coloured outline around the boxes or some form of colour so we can see what selection is highlighted. The grey outline with slightly darker boxes just isn't noticable or intuative as it stands.
3) Mentions of tapping and sliding the screen throughout the tutorial section. Ideally a slight change of wording might be required. Not too essential, but it irks me a bit when it comes to ports.
The tutorial also fails to mention what controller buttons to press to make certain actions (like L2 + R2 to change travel speed) No matter how much time you may have spent translating the game to OUYA, some people do find things like this sloppy.
Apart from that, all good at prsent and works as well as the mobile version. The above first 3 things are a minor issue, but essential fixes in my mind. I'll throw some money at you shortly.
Blehhh guess its bye bye Zombie Driver and hello Tales of Illyria! $5 sounds definitely fair for 20 hours of entertainment -- usually spend $2-3 and hope for a day or two of fun so if this lasts me an entire week, I'd say its worth it :) Thanks for the headsup Saracen.
Can't wait for this external storage support; it can't come fast enough. So many games, so little space!
Oh god imma have to get this!

Downloading!
New patch has been released to version 2.0. Not entirely sure what it fixes as yet as the wife's hogging the TV. Will update this post if I see anything of significance.
I'll have to try this out, but I must say that I was a little disappointed when I saw that the game is not about historical Illyria https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illyria
This game came as a pleasant surprise. I downloaded this with an accidental button press this morning, and when I decided to give it a whirl instead of immediately deleting it, I was hooked! Saracen26's comparison to Oregon Trail is astute, and the provision management and skill level systems have surprising depth.
I'm not sure I care for the semi-automated combat, but you can tweak your characters' AI to control their behavior. There is a fair amount of choice and consequence in the game, and I ended up buying it so I could see everything through to the end.
The paywall hits when the first character gets to level 5, which happens a few hours into the game. I like how they give you the choice of resolution when you first download the additional files. It allows you to choose a poorer display in exchange for a smaller file package, which of course is relevant to ouya owners right now.
Give it a try, it's worth it!
