Hi guys i thought it was time to put a little thread together about my upcoming Ouya Exclusive title Super Rapid Response

Firstly let me say i know my track record for releasing any titles currently is zero, Kill Khaos is still on hold and without going into too much detail i think trying to work in a team of several people is very tough and as such the art work as hit a brick wall, also Pixel Pro's or Pros (English is not my strong point lol) is now no more.

I have now teamed up with a mate of mine and we call ourselves Monster Finger Games

Anyway let's talk about the game

SRR is a love letter to 1980's movies. You are Tony Renegade, a sterotypical 80's cop who doesn't play by the rules of the law.

You chase down criminals taking them down with your handgun as you hang out of your Turbo sports car as they fire back at you with everything from explosive tape cassettes to exposive cocain to...well lets just say everything is explosive!

Dodge incoming cars, cross traffic, hit jumps all while trying to collect Rubiks cubes to get Rad bonuses by doing crazy actions.

Hope you will it as much as we do, so far i have made 8 levels, 4 bosses and lots of features.
The game should be done in a month or so but release date will be Christmas this year or possibly early 2014 because i need to purchase a runtime to be able to convert my games to APK files.

Any thoughts guys? Good or bad

From the description and the images, it's really difficult to figure out what exactly is going on. Which car is he driving? Which boat? Is it an arcade game where you just perpetually go forward collecting items? Keep working on it for sure, I'll give it a shot, but just letting you know there's not really enough information there to get a good sense of the gameplay. Maybe try recording a video for us to see?

Thank you for the response, I will record a video soon but before then I've added a description of the game below for you.

The games similar to play as Spy hunter or Retro Racer Combat but with several original features. You drive on a straight road on each level, there is a timer on each level, your car is the one at the bottom of the screen (red one), you have to dodge two way traffic collected speed boosts and clock radios for time increases, after each level you have a boss level were the game turns into a bullet hell style with manual shooting.

I've tried to add features that you don't normally find in spy hunter style games like cross traffic, jumps and two way traffic.

Hope the pics make a bit more sense now.

I'll definitely give it a try when you release it. I loved Spy Hunter as a kid.

Thanks for the great responses so far, eventhough Retro Racer Combat inspired me to make this I didn't want people looking at it as a copy so hope with all the added features and the different look people will see it as it's own game.

I've only got another 2 bosses to add in, fighter jet and helicopter and then a couple more levels then it's just a case of making each level a bit more polished and sort out some mini cut scenes oh and make it so your high scores save.

I will keep progress updated as it gets closer to completion.

A note on price for all Doodle Cube games is none of them will cost more $3, the majority like this title will be just $1.99 for the full version.

nice update. what would be nice if you could expand the gameplay with curves and a drift mechanic. maybe it's an idea for your next game.

curves is an interesting concept but it would make the cars a little more complex to add in, drifting mechanic is a cool idea also. I remember seeing this video when you posted it on the Retro Racer Combat thread.

While i'm replying here is a little update:

Nothing major but tweaked the first 4 levels and added RAD rubiks cubes.

High scores are now added so doing lots of high score runs, so you can see if you can beat me.

Just working on the last two levels now, attack helicopter is coming along nicely.
