Videogames Blog Help
A friend recently bought a dreamcast off ebay when drunk (I know) and didn't know what to do with it, so I bought it off him as it gave me an idea. I've got a fair selection of old consoles and I was thinking about starting a blog in which I play through some of the bigger games, both good and bad on each console. I'd be able to cover the big consoles like the Megadrive, the Snes and the N64, and compare them with less popular ones like the Gamecube and yes, the Dreamcast. I'm curious to look at what made one console succeed where another (arguably) failed, and I want to do a bit more writing to fill up my time.
Problem is I know next to nothing about setting up a blog. Talking nonsense about old consoles, yes. Useful life skills, no. So I was wondering if anyone here would a) be interested in said nonsense and had anything they think would be worth talking about, and b) can tell me where someone like me should host such a blog. Would I be okay with the like of Bloggor/Wordpress or should I play it safe and use something that holds my hand a bit more like http://www.1and1.co.uk/hosting-windows , which seems a bit more 'for dummies'?

I have decided to move your post to a separate thread.
-
Why didn't you move my response to this as well? My post in that other thread now looks retarded! ;)
Here it is:
Wordpress is really my main blogservice as it is so good all round. It is easy to get started, there are plenty of default functions to choose from and it has wonderful support for own code for the more advanced users. Add to that a vibrant support ecosystem. I'd say it's the absolute best choice for beginners who doesn't want to be restricted once they start to advance.
My experience regarding different blogservices is however pretty weak. I have used a few older ones from the 90's and more recently; blogspot.

Oh.... My bad Star. I didn't see it at the moment I moved it. I was going to go back to check though.
-
No worries, I took care of it! :)

First of all, i used WordPress myself. Setting up an Website very easy without any knowledge of php or other languages.
So i really would suggest you to do that, also there a lot of applications / addons which would support your Videogameblog. Thats my advice, and buying things when your drunk is like birthday more random .D

That makes more sense, Cheers Meltdown.
I always thought Wordpress looked pretty complicated, but I guess that's just because I've never given it a go. I may as well try, so thanks Starfighter and Templum!
I've woken up after gigs where I've bought t-shirts drunk. But nothing as good as that. He took it to a whole new level. Oddly proud of him :D
