DOWNLOADING:

Purchasing songs is done using credits. You get to keep the songs on your OUYA and they can be redownloaded if needed, this is not streaming or an internet dependent app. An internet connection is only required to make the claim and download the song.

Songs already purchased can be downloaded again from the Claimed Song Summary list. You can be offline to play the songs, carry your OUYA to a friend and keep playing songs.

We provide a series of karaoke with LEAD vocals for practice and sing-along called "Multiplex". Search under the Genre "Multiplex" to locate these listings.

so obviously karaoke songs are much more expensive than the originals with vocals. I wonder why that is. Paying 2 bucks a piece for melody and lyrics is way much more than I had in mind.

definately not using this app on OUYA.

Karaoke song lyrics and synchronizing makes the song much more expensive to license therefore makes the song a bit more than a regular song but well worth it since these are high quality songs with lyrics which you get to keep offline (download and play offline), they are not streaming where you don't keep them. Please also remember that a portion of each sale goes to support OUYA (30%). Please consider purchasing larger packs to save.

Bonus:

The songs are saved on the karaoke folder on the SD memory, you are allowed to use the songs also on your PC, Mac, or mobile device using any MP3+G player. 4karaoke is also available on Google Play Store (for FREE) and you can use the same account to access your purchased songs. If you have access to the SD memory, you can import the items into the Karaoke Now 2 iPhone/iPad app (also FREE). If you need a free PC player, we provide one at karaokedownloads.ca.

Interesting program but I can't seem to get mine to demo anything. Does this program have and sample songs or anything? I would love a Karaoke player for parties and using the Ouya would be great but I can't buy it unless I can try it out and see how it works... Or better yet can I use my own music and will it take out the vocals. That would be cool! But yeah unless I see a demo on someone elses system I will just wait and see lol

It would be nice to be able to exit the program.

Can't find any info about supported mics. Any PlayStation 2 USB mic will do it?

I am pretty sure so long it is a basic USB mic there will be no problems :)
