8Bit Ninjas captures the essence of what made arcade games so much fun: from simple but deep mechanics, to airtight platforming controls, to fierce 4 player free-for-all/cooperative multiplayer, 8Bit Ninjas is a throwback to days long past. Beyond simple nostalgia,though, 8BN's unique genre-bending mechanics, quirky story, and beautiful vistas will have you coming back for more for time to come!

The core premise behind 8Bit Ninjas is simple: at the bottom of every level is a body of water; your main goal is to knock the other contestants into this water without falling in yourself. To accomplish this, your character is equipped with shuriken (ninja stars), which he can throw to destroy the level around him. To complicate matters further, you can't just beat opponents into submission; you'll have to use your wits!

Looks good, I'm going to give this a play later.

This game rocks, however, there is a payment processing bug with this game on OUYA that the developer is aware of: i.e. If you pay to unlock the full version the game may not acknowledge your payment. My advice is to wait until this game is updated and the bug is fixed before purchasing.

I have issues getting PS3 & 360 controllers working with it. It registers the button press when you press a button at the press any button screen but after that nothing works. I've been waiting to buy until that is fixed.

I bought it BUT the training level is nothing like the actual game, I thought it was a side plat former with some combat not a static screen combat game...plus its hard.

Thanks for all the feedback! My #1 goal is to make 8BN a top-notch experience, so comments/critique are appreciated.

Couple points :
1) I'm working with Ouya right now to work out the payment bug. Let me be clear: people who already supported WILL BE ABLE TO UPDATE TO THE FIXED VERSION!
2) Controller support is being worked on, and will be included in this update. Some perks: a)analog stick controls b)PS3/X360 gamepad support.
3) More levels are planned of ALL types, if the game is received well. There are indeed more platforming levels, fixed-screen combat, boss battles, and variations thereof!
4) The game is supposed to be hard! Wait till you get to the boss ;)
